Outlet passes are essential in efficient fastbreak offenses

The Outlet Pass

In a previous post, I extolled the virtues of Banana Republic and the fit of their boxer briefs. I may or may not have neglected to mention that they cost $14.99 PER PAIR. There is, however, a way to experience the supreme comfort of top quality underwear (or whatever else you want) for less: the outlet mall.

You may be thinking “I’m not interested in last years out of season, ill fitting clothes.” But that’s the beauty of it. Most major brands like Gap, American Eagle, J. Crew and Polo actually have their own separate factory “line” of apparel that isn’t available in regular stores. These brands still have their name attached to the products though ,so you still get the quality and policies that you’re used to.

A downside to outlets is that they’re usually a nice drive from where you live. The closest outlet mall near my house is a cool 45 minute drive away. While this is a hike no doubt, you more than make up the time you put into travel and the price of gas with the savings. Last year’s Lebron’s in a color I’ve never seen for $69.99? (retail $149.99) Ill take them. Aldo Oxfords for $49.99 plus 50% off with an extra 15% off? Don’t mind if I do. Get my point?

In a tough economy, there is still an expectation of freshness placed on the modern gentleman. As pockets tighten and styles fluctuate, we have to keep our options open by exploring new avenues of getting the things we want and need. While the Outlet Mall won’t be replacing your local shops anytime soon, I implore you to take the trip and give them a try. You honestly don’t have anything to lose.

Fresh Always,

Mr. H
