Do you lead, follow, or manage? Who do you connect with? What is the common goal and passion you share with these individuals? Are you part of a tribe? Great questions and this book will help you answer them. But what I loved about this book is it helps you to see you are a leader. You were created to lead. You don’t lead all the time but you have the tools to lead if you so choose. But at times it is best that we follow. The decision is up to you. But more and more today we find ourselves needing leaders. We need less managers (clones) who practice the status quo as a religion. No, we need people who open doors, innovate, collect, gather, and push boundaries.
The Fresh Demeanor crew is comprised of five individuals who have lived a life making their own. Five men with strong opinions and the fortitudinous to be different.
Here are a few other examples of people starting tribes:
Travis Gumbs and Joshua Kissi share their unique personal style and perspective on Street Etiquette.
Dale Dougherty started a tribe to improve education. By working with students to Make things.
Greg Glassman started out in 2000 with a goal of helping people become Fit. He built a tribe that is now global.
The point being we all have resources we can connect with to achieve a united goal. Start a tribe or join a tribe and see what happens.
