I don’t care what anybody says, a shoulder bag is an absolute essential for today’s “on the go” professional gentleman. We’ve heard all bag slander out there for sure: “man purse”, “European man bag,” “kangaroo pouch” and more, but pay them no mind. A nice, sturdy bag is the only way to go.
On an average work day I pack my tablet, kindle, 3 men’s magazines (Esquire not Hustler), allergy medicine plus various chargers, batteries, and memory cards. Oh yeah, pens and post-its and, well, you get the idea. How ELSE would one go about toting all these “essentials”?
Be your own man. Don’t let other people tell you what is masculine or feminine. Also be clear though: I’m 100% in favor of being a “man’s man” who drinks alcohol, watches football and prefers a soft woman’s leg to anything on the planet, but please be practical and use common sense. It would be a weakness to let someone else’s opinion of what’s cool make you leave some of your essentials behind because you have no way to carry them.
Bags can be stylish and also very functional. They are an expression of your individual fresh demeanor and are a necessary accessory that we should embrace as 2012 turns to ’13 and 25 gets closer to 30
Sincerely #Fresh,
Mr. H
